Hello FR Wilk,

Thank-you for the advice, chip and installation instructions. I had the chip installed yesterday after a delay of waiting for a good person to put it in.

The technician did a full analysis of my car, it turns out the exhaust timing is out slightly so he'll tend to that at a later date - perhaps one reason my car went poorly at lower revs. Anyway, he's put a large number of different chips in different cars, and doesn't really believe they do much good. However - he couldn't believe the difference yours made to my 944S. It's made a huge difference, very noticeable improvement at low revs. I don't know about the fuel consumption nor overall power (neither which I really care about), but it's definitely more drivable and feels more responsive at low revs. The issue I've had is hill starts, I live at the top of a hill, and our city has some pretty steep hills - we have the Guinness record for the world's steepest street (Baldwin Street, Dunedin, New Zealand). The chip now means I can take off well on a hill start, and gather speed much more quickly than before.
