PowerPROM Versions - a brief
description of the different PowerPROM available. |

"Race-Chip" -
Performance chips that does not use the O2 sensor. Without the
limitations of a O2 sensor leaning out the mixture, fuel is metered for the best
power. Best for all around performance.
"3K5-Chip" - Performance
chip with functioning O2 sensor only below 3,500rpm, not above.
Pure performance above 3,500rpm,
Better fuel economy below 3,500rpm than the "Race-Chip".
"Lambda-
Chip" - Performance chip with O2
sensor. This chip functions in the same manor as the stock chip but with
this exception: the "Lambda- Chip" uses the same high-performance mapping for
both fuel and ignition as the "Race-Chip".

Mr. Wilk,
If only you could see the grin on my face right now… Your
chipped DME arrived today. I would have wrote earlier but
I’ve been busy for the past two hours finding every off ramp in
the city. To say I’m overwhelmed and beyond excited
about my “new” car would be an understatement. I
installed your DME and a 1986 AFM on my early model 1985 944 this
afternoon and I think I finally get what this Porsche thing is all
about. I bought this car, my first ever Porsche, last fall
and to be perfectly honest I was never that excited about it.
In fact, I was on the verge of selling it due to the fact that
I’d dropped several thousand dollars on the car and it never
thrilled me that much. As of this moment, the ‘For Sale”
signs are gone. I want to sincerely thank you. The
work you do is nothing short of genius. I absolutely love
that car now. Throttle response is amazing, that thing pulls
through the entire rpm range now and I actually was able to
downshift and blow past a PT Cruiser tonight. Never done
that before. I’ll be searching for an RX8 to challenge
next.
I could ramble on here for hours but I just want to say thanks.
I wasn’t expecting any where near the change I got. That
car is damn fun to drive all of a sudden. It runs smooth and
doesn’t clunk along at low speeds and try to buck me out of the
driver seat. I have to work at 5am but I’m going out
for another rip. Pretty sure the wife thinks I’m up to
something since I’ve never taken that car out for a two hour
drive and come back with a giant shit eating grin…

Well your chip is nothing short of amazing, you literally turned
my opinion of the 944 completely around, I am so glad I got
your chip right after I got the car. Absolutely makes
the car worth driving. Idle issue GONE
Acceleration! I dare say it's more than a second faster, but maybe
that's just me.
